The objective of the project is for each student to understand spatial qualities of a mineral that are best represented by drawing and physical model through deconstructionism. It is then typical to have sharp edges with distinguishable surfaces.
The interior is a solid mass with primitives coursing through the mineral. Quartz is typically colorless and transparent allowing internal representation. This distinction of transparency is in relation to the building envelope.
